Standing Space Only Coming To Ryanair?

Yeah, I’d do it. That’s how low-cost I am when it comes to air travel. Ryanair is apparently in the preliminary phases of retrofitting its fleet of planes to permit for a “standing area only” or “vertical seating” section wherever after there had been four rows of overly cozy, gilded-age era seat dwellers.

Will it actually occur? That’s any one’s guess. As our pals above at Kathika point out, Ryanair has had a recent background of outlandish (based on who you ask) ideas this kind of as pay toilets and the so-referred to as “fat tax.”

My strategy, and keep with me right here, is horizontal seating. Just a bunch of yoga mats in the back of the plane, à la kindergarten nap time. Most folks just want to rest anyways, and it’d be a terrific way to meet your fellow passengers. Just throwing it out there.
